Formed in 2007 as downtempo guitar/electronics studio project, Chicago's Begin By Gathering Supplies have since gathered a small army of co-conspirators to flesh out their ranks and widen their sound. Beat machine, Synth, Steel guitar, Horns, Strings, Theremin and any number of other instruments and noisemakers may be in play at any given show. On the other hand, might be two dudes, a drum machine and one guitar, you never can tell. One thing is usually a given, it'll all be run through a wall of reverb and echo, all they can get their hands on. This is not noise for noise's sake, though. Quite the opposite, actually. Buried within the swirlwind of sound, you are going to find some of the catchiest melodies and well constructed pop songs you are likely to come across.
